Pentecost is June 4

306050952_origOn Pentecost Sunday, June 4, we celebrate the movement of the Holy Spirit alighting like fire on the followers of Christ.┬áThe Gospel will be read in many different languages simultaneously, then the deacon will read it in English. Contact Deacon Joanna if you can read the gospel in another language. There will be a ribbon kite, incense and baptisms at the 10:30 service. It is customary to wear red on Pentecost, and we’ll continue the celebration with a reception after the 10:30 service.

The sacrament of Baptism will be offered on Pentecost Sunday, June 4. If you or anyone in your family wishes to be baptized, please contact the Parish Office. A rehearsal will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 4:30 in the church.
