On October 24, Saint Mark’s welcomes Gordon Stewart to present a recital–one of only two he will give in the US this year. As well as a glittering career in the top ranks of cathedral music, Gordon has become known as a concert organist who is entertaining and completely “unstuffy”. He is currently Borough Organist for Kirklees which gives him custody of the famous organ of Huddersfield Town Hall. He is in constant demand for recitals in the UK but rarely makes it to the US. As well as being a wonderful player, he is also one of the premier teachers of organ in the UK. His delightful and friendly personality will ensure that this will be a concert to remember. His program starts at 7:30 and admission is free. A voluntary donation would be appreciated if you can give it on the evening.
