Be Still, and Know that I Am God.
From the moment of birth until the moment of death, we never stop learning. The Sunday morning classes at St. Mark’s strive to satisfy our intellectual hunger. The coffee and pastries will have to suffice for the rest.
For the Adults
Adults get together from 9:15 to 10:15 Sunday mornings. Offerings range from Bible and book study groups to a general forum, which meets in the Parish Hall. The Forum is a large, informal group which examines a variety of topics presented by members of the clergy, the congregation and outside speakers. Previous subjects have included:
• From Jesus to Constantine
• The Legacy of Jerry Falwell
• The Gospel of Judas: Recent Discoveries
Here are some examples of other small group offerings on Sunday Mornings.

Backyard Kids is the class for three and four year-old preschoolers. The program utilizes Jerome Berryman and Sonja Stewart’s curriculum Young Children and Worship. It is a multi-sensory, Montessori-based program in which children are encouraged to interact and respond to the stories of God by making individual choices.
This group meets in room 234 of the Willcox Building.
Road Trip Kids is for kindergarten through fifth grade students. The students rotate to different workshops each week to explore Bible stories. Road Trip Kids allows for children to access the Bible from a variety of learning styles and hands-on activities.
This group meets in room 567 of the Willcox Building.
Living the Good News engages middle school students, grades six through eight. It uses a lectionary-based curriculum. This program encourages young teens to explore the weekly scripture readings and apply them to their lives. Teens will see how faith can help them weather problems, accept shortcomings and make wise choices.
This group meets in the South room.
Episcopal Curriculum for Youth is for high school students. This series is an issues-based curriculum which uses scripture to discuss topics like “What Do Others Believe?” and “Diversity.”
This group meets in the EYC Center.
