In addition to our Sunday morning offerings, there are a variety of small groups at St. Mark’s which offer further opportunities for individual spiritual and personal growth.
Education for Ministry (EfM)
This program of theological education-at-a-distance comes from the School of Theology of the University of the South. EFM teaches you how to think theologically, deepens your faith and understanding, and provides you with new confidence to be Christ’s minister. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology.
Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. We meet regularly, usually once a week, under the guidance of trained mentors. The program grants 18 Continuing Education Units for each year’s work. If you’re interested, please e-mail Stephen Kemp or call 501-851-1929.
Men’s Bible Study
Have you ever wondered how the Bible relates to the experiences of your daily life? Then look no further than the Men’s Bible Study. Come and share coffee, donuts and your questions and opinions as we gather for a relevant and lively discussion of the scriptures. The group meets on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. in the Library.
ChristCare
ChristCare Groups are “Circles of care with Christ at the center.” Each group has three to twelve members and is lead by a trained ChristCare Small Group Leader. ChristCare Group members give and receive Christ’s care to one another and share that care with others.
