Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness
-
Worship weekly: Our community is grounded in the great sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist. Just as Christ worshiped on the Sabbath in the synagogue, we celebrate traditional liturgy and sacred music on Sundays, acknowledging their continued relevance in our contemporary world while reaching forward with new forms and expressions of worship.
Pray daily: “Prayer is responding to God, by thought and by deeds, with or without words.” (The Book of Common Prayer, p.856) Through the richness of the Anglican tradition, the prayer book Daily Office, and other ancient and modern forms of personal prayer, we encounter the risen Christ. We offer Morning Prayer daily and Centering Prayer twice weekly.

Do you remember being in church on a Sunday when the music was grand and joyful, the sermon was uplifting and positive, and the presence of the Holy Spirit was very real to you?
We have a lot of those Sundays at St. Mark’s.
Worship is something Episcopalians do well. Our musical tradition spans centuries. God’s Love is at the center of our sermons. And we worship together as a universal family through common prayer.
We also believe that hospitality is at the heart of being a creature of God. We would love to welcome you and your family to ours.
