Spiritual Lessons from "The King's Speech"

By The Rev. Carey Stone

Part of the Year A, Epiphany series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Within us all there lies a genius that only God sees - our true selves that are made in God's image. Throughout history God has chosen ordinary people to work his divine purposes. Part of the spiritual journey is to reach the place where we turn our wills over to God so that we can leave behind our false and egocentric selves and fulfill our deepest calling. We are able to do this as we become available and teachable just like Christ's first disciples.
